bul1 Patrick Sullivan, Technical Director and Winemaker
Patrick Sullivan
Patrick Sullivan

Patrick Sullivan joined the Spring Mountain Vineyard estate in 2013 bringing with him a wealth of expertise and experience from prestigious wineries like Peter Michael, Paul Hobbs, Lewis Cellars and Rudd Estate.

Born and raised in Sonoma County, Patrick was first exposed to viticulture when he helped plant his parents’ Bennett Valley vineyard. After graduating with a degree in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley and working as a researcher in the biotech industry, his interest in winemaking was sparked by trips to Napa Valley with his winemaker brother. He went on to finish an MS in Enology at Fresno State.

Patrick’s philosophy is that great wine begins in the vineyard, that balanced vineyards provide the opportunity to capture the ultimate expression of terroir in the wines. His keen attention to detail is evident in both the vineyard and in the cellar.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, snowboarding, camping and reading. He lives in Kenwood with his wife Meleah and two sons, Evan and Neal.

bul1 Ron Rosenbrand, Vineyard Manager
Ron Rosenbrand
Ron Rosenbrand

Born and raised in Napa Valley and into a winemaking family, Ron’s passion for grape growing came at an early age. His father, Theo Rosenbrand, whose wines made at Beaulieu and Sterling Vineyards are revered by wine collectors, knew that the vineyard is the key to making great wine. Certainly influenced by his father, Ron chose to study viticulture, graduating from the University of California at Davis in 1981.

After studying French viticulture in the Jura, Ron returned to Napa Valley where he has spent over 30 years growing wine, first at Charles Krug, and at Spring Mountain Vineyard since 2003.

Ron is considered an industry leader in integrated pest management, and in 2010 received the California Environmental Protection Agency IPM Innovator Award for his work with predatory insects and birds to control vineyard pests. His expertise and knowledge of rootstock and clonal selection, vine stress and canopy management contribute to the full potential of each of Spring Mountain’s 135 vineyard blocks.

Ron resides in St. Helena with his wife Jacqueline and their 5 children, Brian, Amy, Conner, Cole, and Alexi.

Lindsay is a Midwestern transplant who grew up in Naperville, Illinois. After finishing a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, she moved to New York where her passion for wine continued to develop. After moving back to Chicago and working in sales, she decided to follow her growing passion for wine. Rebecca spent her childhood in New Jersey before moving to Texas. She studied Hospitality and Event Management at the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management where she became interested in wine and received a Sommelier Certification in 2010.

She resides in a little cottage located on a few acres of vineyard in Napa, California.
